Seven Weeks and I am now “Mother”

Last week a few things have happened.

The weather has remained cruddy.  I am so water logged right now that I am beginning to feel like a sponge.

Sadie turned seven weeks old.  She is getting cuter everyday, if I do say so myself, and so alert.  You can make her smile and goo at you which just makes me smile.  I think she is going to be a talker.  Already she is gooing and baby talking to us, her dummy, and even when she is feeding. Sound like someone y’all know?

Meanwhile, Ellie has taken to calling me “Mother”,  not mummy or mom but Mother.  I don’t know where it has come from and when I ask she says I call you Mother because you are the Mother.  I wonder why Ken isn’t Father then.  It makes me feel old and prim and proper being called Mother.  Kind of like when I get called Mrs. Panko.  Hopefully it is just a phase.

We are off to Boston on Thursday for Ellie’s six month, post cath check with Dr. Marx.  Hopefully he will be happy with what he sees.

You guys all look so happy in these pictures. It made me smile to look at them. I love the picture of Ellie kissing Sadie.
