On March 30th Sadie Lou turned 1. It was so strange. Thinking from now on I couldn’t think “this time last year Sadie wasn’t even here.” It has gone so fast and yet I cannot really remember what it was like to not have her smiley lovely self with us. I am so glad she picked me to be her Mom and cannot wait to see what she will show and teach me next.

I was just looking over some of your prior posts, and landed on October, 2006. It brought tears to my eyes to remember what Ellie’s family faced and what that little girl went through. Seeing her loving on her little sister and imitating the Statue of Liberty just reminded me of how precious our children are and how fortunate we have been to have our Ellie share her life with us. Sadie is a very lucky little sister. Ellie is a very blessed little girl. We all share her blessings every day. Sadie’s smile could light up the world. I can only imagine what mountains she will overcome with that smile. Whenever life gets a little rocky, I just try to remember those things and thank God for these and so many more blessings. Sorry about getting all “emo” there. I am just feeling very, very blessed to have the family I have to share my life. I’m feeling very, very blessed to see my great nieces growing up. What a joy.
