We're pretty firm 72 degrees. I usually go lower if there are bunches of people in the house and higher when it's windy out. But, I recently read that 72 is the perfect heat temperature and 76 the perfect ac temp.

It's so encouraging that all is going so well with Herself! :)

Up here in VT we put in on 76 when it drops 30 or below. Otherwise, the cats get the sniffles.

Nah, Papa is being pretty good . . . wondering why he can't figure out that newfangled thermostat we have, but he's doing pretty good. We have him wrapped up in layers like the little kid in The Christmas Story. :) We just cover him up in blankies and he does OK. With minimal insulation in our attic (haven't gotten around to it in the renovation wish list), i'ts a toss up depending on the way the wind is blowing and how hard it's doing it.

We have electric baseboard and we try to keep our thermostat around 68-72. I try to turn it down during the day, but since Bobby and I have opposite work schedules, it usually gets adjusted.

Depends on how drafty your apt. is:)...If I'm home during the day, I like it toasty at around 72 BUT we have bad drafts so it still feels even cooler. At night, we turn it down to 67-ish. If you can convert your thermostat to a digital one from Lowe's (around $20) it will make the single biggest difference in your $$ bill each month. We have regular gas, forced heat and our bills run around $180 and supposedly, gas will be cheaper this year.

Colly,
I think your mom must set ours on 60 degrees before she goes to work. Right now it is 68 and I'm going to turn it up because I'm freezing. I think your Granddad keeps his on 90-95. I think most people keep their's somewhere in the middle or about 72.
Glad ya'll like your new mwttress. Anyone who doesn't think that the small things in life doesn't matter has never walked very far with a gravel in their shoe.
