To get our minds off of Monday, and to get us out of the house, we drove down to NY City and went to the New York Auto Show today. It was surprisingly fun. We saw so many really cool cars and were able to sit in and play around with everything in one place. It was in the Javits Center in the city and took up 3 huge floors. (Jealous Julie?) It was crazy but very cool.
Ken saw and was able to get close to his dream – the concept Camaro. They should be out in 2009 and he keeps saying that he’s buying one in 2010. We will see. It is actually very cool but don’t tell him I said it.
Ellie wasn’t too happy to be in her pushchair

A good day all around.

Ellie looks absolutely beautiful. What a precious child. We will lift her up in prayer tomorrow morning at church and every day at home. After what she’s been through, this should be a cake walk. Post the expected time of her surgery. We’ll all spend our day praying you all through.
We’re expecting to get up to 3 inches of rain tonight. Didn’t need it all at once, but we sure do need a little shower down here in Central Virginia.
Those little toy cars look great . . . but they can’t hold a candle to my little VW bug convertible. It is absolutely the most fun car I’ve ever owned. It’s just plain groovy.
Love & God Bless,
Alice
