We made a last min quick trip down to Va last weekend.  I wish it could have been longer, there was a few people I would have liked to connect with that I didn’t but I was lucky enough to spend lots of quality time with my bestest.

We spent a few hours on the beach in Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore.  It was awesome, I couldn’t believe I had never been there.  So peaceful and uncrowded.

I got to give cuddles and kisses to some of my favorite little ones: Lily, Dylan, Connor, and Charlie.  It was so great just hanging out and having quality time.  I did find at the end of the weekend I had take very few pictures.  I guess I was so busy enjoying the moment.  Taking in the love of great friends that I didn’t even want to take time to snap pictures.

It is always a bit bitter sweet heading to the Hampton Roads Area.  I am happy to be there and to see everyone but it makes leaving so much harder.  For the first time in my life all my closest friends are in the same place – husbands and kiddos – and we aren’t in the same place physically.  It makes me a wee bit sad for the girls that they could have so many playmates if we were there.

Oh well maybe someday the stars will align again…
