This past week has been action packed -is it never?
Ellie started her new school (daycare) last Wed. It is so nice and close. I walk her up and home in the afternoon. She really seems to like it there.
The weather has been wonderful in the 80s no humidity. This is the nice time of year to live in New England. Before it gets too cold and the humidity is gone but the temps remain high. It makes you forget what is to come in just a few months (or if the locals are to be believed a few short weeks).
Over the weekend we had a cookout with our upstairs and next door nighbours. We ate burgers and baked beans, drank wine and beer and played this crazy game called twister moves. Everyone is pretty much back in the house now and it is beginning to fill complete. The sub-letters upstairs were really nice this summer and friendly but we missed the girls and are glad they are back in the fold with us.
Sunday we finally did it. The two things Ken wanted when we moved back to America was a nice big bed and a HD TV. Well the bed came first and on Sunday we got the big screen -46 inch- HD TV (thank goodness for three years interest free). It is insanely big but I have to admit really freakin’ awsome. Even though there is something not right about seeing Toy Story and having Woody be bigger than your two year old -but with Ellie that isn’t hard.
So Sunday and yesterday we just hung out and enjoyed. All in all a relaxing and low key holiday weekend.
(Sorry for the lack of photos still haven’t gotten a new camera to replace the one that jumped.)
